Inayat
Ilahi Malik was educated at the Universities of Punjab, Beirut
and South California from where he obtained his M.A., LL.B., M.P.A.
and M.B.A. degrees, respectively. He has also obtained a Diploma in Administration from Boston University. He had a long and distinguished
career in administrative research and training centers, like NIPA,
Civil Services Academy and Pakistan Administrative Staff College.
He has also published many books and articles on administration. A
noted musicologist who wrote his first book ‘Sur Sangeet;
at the behest of the great virtuoso Roshan Ara Begum in 1963,
it was followed by another one entitled ‘Rag Rang’,
with a foreword by Faiz Ahmed Faiz in 1964.
