Dr.
Muhammad Reza Kazimi
Dr. Muhammad Reza Kazimi was born in Mumbai in 1945. A distinguished
academic, he received his MA and Ph.D. degrees from the University
of Karachi and later became the President of the Pakistan College
Teachers’ Association (Karachi). He has contributed to several
academic journals, some notable papers include ‘Indian Reappraisals
of Pakistan’s Founder’, Azad and the Muslim League’,
and ‘H.C. Beaumont and the Boundary Awards’. He also
edited the Jinnah-Liaquat Correspondence. A writer in Urdu as
well, he has three highly acclaimed books to his credit, namely
Jaded Urdu Marsia which is a pioneering critical appreciation
of modern Urdu elegy, Tab-i-Sukhan comprising of essays on literary
critics, tracts and issues, and Nuqoosh-i-Josh which is a study
of the poet Josh Malihabadi.
